Tutor Assisted Training

The Tutor Assisted program provides one-on-one computer training at the participants pace. Individuals are matched to a qualified volunteer tutor who will provide one-on-one goal oriented computer training for a minimum of one hour per week. We offer a range of training from basic skills to MS Office and Internet to Web design and programming. We even custom design training programs to suit individual needs.

 

Support Worker Assisted

The Support Worker Assisted program focuses on educational and recreational software and allows individuals to work on a computer along with their Support Worker, family member, or friend.

 Basic Skills:

Just starting out in the world of computers? Learn exactly what you need to know. Perfect for the new computer user, this tutorial identifies parts of the computer and how they work, then moves on to using basic programs and the Internet. If its computer-related and confusing, its covered here.

By the end of this course, you will learn:

• About the many parts of a computer and its peripherals and how they work
• How to operate basic computer software programs
• How to navigate the Internet

OpenOffice.org 3 is the leading open-source office software suite for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, graphics, databases and more. It is available in many languages and works on all common computers. It stores all your data in an international open standard format and can also read and write files from other common office software packages. It can be downloaded and used completely free of charge for any purpose.

MS Office 2007:

Very popular program learn MS Word 2007, MS Excel 2007, MS PowerPoint 2007, MS Outlook 2007. Check the schedule for course currently offered. Addition fee of $10.00 required.

Self Paced Learning:

 This program is great for people that want to use our step-by-step guides and our computer lab. Addition fee of $10.00 required.
